Tickets are now available for Upintheair Theatre’s annual rEvolver Festival at The Cultch.

Programmed by resident curators Sarah Roa and Sindy Angek, along with artist director David Mott, the festival highlights fun and cutting-edge new works. It features a mix of mainstage shows, touring shows, presentations, and staged readings; attendees can expect a wide selection of themes, from geo-politics to genocide, in various mediums—such as cabaret, opera, and comedy.

Noteworthy mainstage shows include The African Dream, the story of a man growing up in the aftermath of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi people of Rwanda, using traditional and African street dance, and Silent Howl: this performance is the visual representation of creator Sarah Hin Ching U’s imagined brain while living with a seizure disorder.

For those looking to embark on a solo experience, the presentation Please Wait While We Connect You is an introvert’s dream. The piece asks participants questions in order to compose a personalized audio remedy just for them. All you need to do is pick up the phone—no transit is needed!
