Nothing beats a timeless classic being brought to life, and the Royal City Musical Theatre (RCMT) is doing just that.

The RCMT is continuing the celebration of its 32nd season with the presentation of the beloved Broadway musical Mary Poppins. The show will be opening its three-week stint at Massey Theatre in New Westminster on April 27 at 7:30pm, and ending May 12 with a Sunday matinee.

Mary Poppins—the magic nanny whose charges are in awe of her mystical abilities—is being played by Meghan Gardiner, who called it her “dream role.” She will be joined on stage by 28 other performers, all following the direction and choreography of artistic director Valerie Easton.

“The version you will see on stage is much closer to the original spirit of the P.L. Travers books than the famous Disney film, but still emphasizes the value and strength of family,” Easton says in a statement. “A lesson learned through the indelible presence of Mary Poppins in the lives of the Banks family.”

Tickets to witnesssee the magic begin at $27.
