Inaugural SummerCamp Rib & Music Fest wants to take you back to your youth (minus the kids)

Have you ever dreamt of revisiting your summer camp days—without kids around? It sounds like you’re ready for SummerCamp Rib & Music Fest

The Narrow Group and The Festival Company are partnering to create camp days for adults in support of Lifted, a non-profit dedicated to improving youth mental health through various programs and initiatives. As the name suggests, ribs will be served along with a selection of food trucks, live music, and DJ sets. The event also boasts a local vendor market, beer garden, and classic camp games—think tug-of-war and water fights. Did we mention no kids?

“Adults seem to miss out on all the summer fun that kids have,” said Billie Jo Aasen of The Festival Company in a release. “SummerCamp Festival grew out of our goal of creating an event which would let grown-ups be free, fun, and creative like kids, even with their kids! We’ve brought all the best things about summer days—music, games, food—made them adult-sized and dropped into one place.”

A second SummerCamp weekend is set for Penticton in September, with the venue to be announced at a later date.
