Province sports columnist David Pratt has been fired for plagiarizing parts of an article that was published in Sports Illustrated, the newspaper has announced.

An article by Pratt included passages similar to a piece written in 2000 by Rick Reilly, a well-known American sports writer.

Pratt will continue to cohost a televised sports talk radio show, called Pratt & Taylor, on Team 1040.
