Why: Fashion designer Rubins Autila left Montreal to set up shop in Gastown and hasn’t looked back. The boutique carries basics from several hard-to-find labels, as well as pieces from Autila’s own line, Rubi & Kino. I love this green silk blouse with cropped bat-wing sleeves and a dropped waist. The bloused bodice is very forgiving, and the gathered detail at the waist will disguise the bulge that skinny jeans can so affectionately create. Pair this with leggings and strappy flats for a no-fuss look that’s perfect for your next day off. Besides this green, white, and indigo combination, it also comes in turquoise, white, and fuchsia. These vibrant colours are great for sunny days, and the print is so pretty you can almost smell the flowers. Summer’s here, whew!
