My, how we've grown! The Georgia Straight's blogs are now two years old (which in internet years is like 40 years old). And boy, have we ever learned to talk.
It all began with this little post way back when we were still trudging to work through five miles of ice and snow in our bare feet and had to chip out our words on stone tablets.
Since then, the blogs have undergone a few name evolutions (Views, Life, Straight Up), and although we started off with only one, it's given birth to numerous illegitimate love children like Sports, Movies, Music, and Politics.
(Don't be no hater. It builds character!)
And we've had a lot of new regular contributors like staff members Jon Cranny and Chris Slater, not to mention the numerous contributions from Straight readers.
It's like the MTV logo—always adapting to a changing environment.
So happy birthday, GS Blogs. Hope you get lots of nice prezzies. Fo' shure.
