New websites for Out on Screen and NSI

In the past, a lot of people often confused the organization Out on Screen with the Vancouver Queer Film Festival, which they run.

To help distinguish the identity of the organization from the festival, as well as the two other projects that they operate, OOS has been working on a relaunch of their brand identity, as previously mentioned in Movie Notes.

Their new website will help to clarify the distinctions as well.

OOS operates three projects: the film festival, Out in Schools, and the Queer History Project.

Each have their own new website or web page, and distinct logo.

This should certainly help to avoid any queer confusion in the future. Or excessive queeries. (OMG, I better stop now.)

Also launched today is the new website for the Winnpeg-based National Screen Institute.

The new site features include audio and video interviews with industry personnel, blogs, articles, an online community (My NSI), and discussion forums.

The launch coincides with the opening of the NSI Online Short Film Festival call for submissions. If you've got a short film, read the guidelines here. The deadline is August 6.
