B.C. environment minister Terry Lake to be acclaimed as Liberal candidate

      With the provincial election approaching, the B.C. Liberal Party says Environment Minister Terry Lake will be acclaimed as a candidate for his Kamloops-North Thompson riding

      Lake and Kamloops businessman Todd Stone are to be acclaimed in a joint nomination meeting on August 14, according to a news release from the Liberals today (July 31).

      Stone is slated to represent the Liberals in the Kamloops-South Thompson riding.

      Meanwhile, the Liberals also announced Invermere resident Doug Clovechok has been nominated as the party’s candidate for the Columbia River-Revelstoke riding.

      The next provincial election is scheduled for May 14, 2013.
