Swimmer Michael Phelps models in new Louis Vuitton advertisement

Update: New York Magazine has reported that a spokesperson from Louis Vuitton has said that this image is not an official LV image.

Now that the London Olympics are over and Michael Phelps has officially retired from swimming, the 27-year-old U.S. athlete may be looking at a new career as a fashion model. Phelps, who is the most decorated Olympian of all time with a total of 22 medals, is the new face of Louis Vuitton.

Images from the a Louis Vuitton campaign shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz features Phelps in a bathtub wearing nothing more than a black Speedo and goggles. A large Louis Vuitton tote bag sits by his side. While Phelps has yet to perfect his Zoolander stare, he might be getting fashion model aspirations from his new reported girlfriend, model Megan Rossee.
