Kathleen Edwards sings the sweet stuff on the Stawamus stage at LIVE at Squamish

Yes Nice may have started things off over at the tiny Meadow stage, but Kathleen Edwards is pulling patrons across the LIVE at Squamish grounds for her folky set on the Stawamus stage.

Some diehards stood up front with their arms draped over the barrier, but most just chilled out on strewn about beach blankets as Edwards and the rest of her six-piece group ran through the somewhat funky slow burner "Mint" and the fake-exodus number "Empty Threat".

Considering she followed that tune with some banter about the outstanding scenic view of the neighborhood, those velvety-sung lyrics about moving to America are all smoke and mirrors.

Gregory Adams is filing items of interest and reviews from the LIVE at Squamish festival this weekend.
