The Georgia Straight presents Matt Mays at the Commodore

Live Nationhas announced that Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Mays will perform—with guests the Meds—at the Commodore Ballroom on Wednesday, October 24, in support of his fifth album, Coyote.

The Halifax local, a four-time Juno Award nominee, has been busy since 2008’s Terminal Romance. Traveling to Mexico, California, Indonesia, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and New York, Mays found his sound and and poured it into the recently released rock album, Coyote.

“If it means changing continents or just walking back and forth in my kitchen, there needs to be constant change and movement," says Mays. "There always has to be water moving through my gills.”

Tickets for the show are priced at $25 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (September 7) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.
