Theatre Under the Stars is bringing two Broadway hits to the outdoor Malkin Bowl stage in Stanley Park next summer.

The Vancouver theatre group has announced its 2013 lineup will include the musical comedies Legally Blonde and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Legally Blonde, which opens July 15, is based on the novel that spawned the Reese Witherspoon movie about a sorority queen who chases her ex-boyfriend to law school. The show has Valerie Easton as director and Danny Balkwill as music director.

How to Succeed, which opens July 16, is about a young man’s improbable ascent up the corporate ladder. The show has Sarah Rodgers as director, Shelley Stewart as choreographer, and Chris King as music director.
