Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Action games like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance may seem a bit archaic, with its bird's-eye view and overly dramatic dialogue. But if it ain't broke, don't muck around with it. Ultimate Alliance, the third game from Activision structured around the superheroes stripped from the pages of Marvel comics, sticks to the tried-and-true. This time around, the collective of costumed crusaders are up against the evil genius of Dr. Doom. Available on PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, X360, and Wii, the developers did make the role-playing component simpler, so you won't have to spend half your time trying to figure out the optimal way to upgrade your characters. Best of all, there is a host of new characters whose identities you can adopt, including the wise-cracking Deadpool. And the multiplayer co-op is still here, so you can have fun with three of your closest friends. Rated teen.
