The Museum of Vancouver has just announced a special online event as part of International Museums Day.

On May 18 local art fans will have the opportunity to virtually tour the MOV’s latest feature exhibition, A Seat at the Table: Chinese Immigration and British Columbia.

The tour will be led by Vancouver artist Paul Wong, and will offer insight into several of his art works created or adapted for the exhibition.

According to the info on the MOV website, A Seat at the Table "looks at Chinese immigration to this province as a story that is local and global, historical, and contemporary.

"Using food and restaurant culture as an entry point, A Seat at the Table at MOV features stories that point to the great diversity of immigrant experiences and of the communities that immigrants develop."

A brief Q&A will follow the May 18 tour, which will be streamed via Zoom at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time. Tickets are on a slide scale, $1 to $10, and you can register here.
