Olympic medallist Joannie Rochette strikes a spiritual pose at Mission Hill winery

Earlier this week, some Vancouverites (and Burnaby councillors) were talking about the impending arrival of a figure-skating champion.

Three-time world gold medallist Patrick Chan has decided to move to our town and train for the next Winter Olympics at Burnaby's 8 Rinks.

He's not the only Canadian skating star who's developed a fondness for B.C.

The women's bronze medallist from the 2010 Games, Joannie Rochette, has been telling her Instagram followers that she's been enjoying the sights and tastes of Okanagan wineries. 

She also struck a spiritual pose at Mission Hill's vineyard in Westbank.

Rochette is a six-time Canadian's women's champion and now skates for Stars on Ice.
