We've known it all this time; now the secret is out.

Dance Magazine has just named Ballet B.C. one of "25 to watch" in its new January issue.

"Fun but not frivolous, the new Ballet BC is physically rigorous, dramatically solid, and truly contemporary," the article raves.
"The company brings today’s global dance conversation to Vancouver, British Columbia, like never before."

The troupe is one of only a couple companies (including L.A.'s BODYTRAFFIC) to make a list that includes such international bright lights as the Bolshoi Ballet's Olga Smirnova, New York City Ballet's Emily Kikta, and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet's Michael Montgomery.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, Ballet B.C. remounts one of its best programs in years, Encore, with work by the likes of Jorma Elo and William Forsythe, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from January 24 to 26.
