New afternoon tea at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is inspired by Emily Carr

As one of BC’s most renowned artists, the late Emily Carr’s influence on Vancouver is widely celebrated throughout the city.

Not only is the top university in Canada for art and design named after her, but both the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) and Audain Art Museum have her work permanently on display. She is considered one of the most influential chroniclers of our history and our land.

Taking this one step further, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has collaborated with the VAG to pay homage to Carr with an upcoming themed afternoon tea that promises to be an immersive culinary and artistic experience.

The Into the Forest With Emily Carr offers a cocktail menu inspired by Carr’s painting style, while the food highlights ingredients from the province she loved so much, such as Fraser Valley duck ham and a macaron with birch cream.
