1931 Gallery Bistro is a new and unique dining experience located in the iconic Vancouver Art Gallery. Named to honour the year of the buildings founding, 1931 boasts a recently renovated 120 seat licensed outdoor patio space overlooking Robson Square, in addition to our vibrant interior dining room.

Food:

Inspired by the cultural landscape of Vancouver and its peoples, we boast a menu of West Coast fusion dishes, including our favourites; freshly shucked B.C oysters; coffee braised Beef Shortrib, Kampachi sashimi & Fraser Valley duck breast to name a few.

With special dishes designed for our vegan and gluten free guests, brunch everyday, happy hour and Dinner all week long, there’s truly something for everyone.

Beverage:

In a first for the libation program here at 1931, Howe Sound has partnered with us to create custom branded beer on tap in honor of Emily Carr’s iconic West Coast imagery; the “Big Raven” Lager and “Red Cedar” IPA.

Rounded out with craft cocktails and featuring BC VQA wines; imagine sitting on our patio in the sun sipping on classics like Pimm’s or Sangria?

Vibe:

A fresh and modern space to enjoy a brunch date, a quick business lunch or a full dinner experience. Al fresco is the name of the game; grand interior and exterior architecture, lush plants and plenty of open space to unwind.
