Yet again, another Korean fish product is undergoing a recall in British Columbia due to undeclared allergens.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) stated that T-Brothers Food and Trading launched a recall on February 17 for its Jinju fish paste products.

The recall was initiated due to an undeclared allergen—eggs—among the food product’s ingredients.

In addition to B.C., the affected product was also distributed in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The recalled product is sold in 500 grams packages with UPC 8 801077 529805 and date code 2021.05.20.

Anyone with allergies to eggs should not consume this product as it may trigger an allergic reaction.

Anyone with this product should return it to the place of purchase or dispose of it.

Previously in January, the CFIA had announced that T-Brothers was recalling specific Hyosung and Hansung fish cakes, fish sticks, and fish paste also due to undeclared egg.

In addition, Red Frog Enterprises launched a recall in January as well for specific Wang Korea fish cakes and fish sausages, also due to undeclared egg.
