Photos: Whistler Blackcomb opens for 2021-22 season

It came after 10 centimetres of snow overnight, with another 20 centimetres expected today

      It may be pouring rain at sea level on B.C.'s south coast, but there's plenty of snow up in the mountains.

      Whistler Blackcomb opened today (November 15) with 10 centimetres of new snow overnight. Another 20 centimetres are expected to fall by the end of the day.

      Naturally, that led to lineups at the gondolas.

      Season passes will continue to be sold until December 5.

      And don't forget about the Whistler Film Festival, which runs from December 1 to 31.
