Blues icon Buddy Guy delivered a tasty treat to the world's guitar freaks today.

In advance of the June 15 release of his new album, The Blues Is Alive and Well, the 81-year-old picker released a song called "Cognac" that sees him trading wild licks with none other than the world's greatest living rock guitarist, Jeff Beck, and another guy named Keith Richards.

The three of them get bluesy as all hell, with Guy coaxing and cajoling the Brits to go nuts while he preaches passionately about the benefits of brandy. "Now reefer make me mellow, and whiskey make me wild. Get a coupla glasses, and let's get drunk in style. I'm talkin' about co-ni-ac."

I like the part where Buddy mentions the boozing abilities of a legendary old blues buddy of his.

"If the late Muddy Waters was here drinkin' with us," he croons, "that bottle would be ten times gone."

Damn rights it would.
