Police in B.C. and Alberta are searching for a New Westminster suspect in a serious domestic assault that took place in Edmonton.

New Westminster resident Sterling Miles Booker, who is 41 years old, is wanted for criminal harassment.

He is currently charged with the additional offences of breaking-and-entering and assault causing bodily harm stemming from incidents that occurred in Edmonton (before he moved to New Westminster).

“The Edmonton Police Service has extended the warrant to British Columbia, and we are hoping to make an arrest and return him to Edmonton to appear in court,” New Westminster Police Department Sgt. Jeff Scott stated in a news release.

Booker is described as a Caucasian male who is 183 centimetres (six feet) tall and weighs 77 kilograms (170 pounds). He has brown hair and blue eyes, has a tattoo that says "rock" on his right hand and "roll" on his left hand.

He has also used the nicknames Smokey and Sterling Silver.

He has a history of similar allegations, and has two charges from Vancouver Island for assault and mischief as well.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
