Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting that took place at a party at a White Rock residence on Remembrance Day and resulted in one male youth being injured.

At four minutes after midnight on November 11, RCMP received several reports of shots fired in the 15500 block of Columbia Avenue in White Rock.

Callers reported that they heard about three to six pops outside a residence that was later determined to be a short-term rental.

Police were told that about 30 people had been partying at the location and began fleeing from house after the loud pops.

After arriving, officers found a male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound who was not far away from the residence.

He was treated at hospital and released but he is not cooperating with the police investigation. CTV News identified him as an 18-year-old male.

Two male adults and one male youth who fled when officers tried to stop their vehicle from leaving the shooting scene were arrested. However, they have since been cleared of being involved in the shooting and have been released without charged.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact White Rock RCMP Cst. Laura Shaw at 778-593-3632.
