Train collides with vehicle in Surrey, injuring two people

      Two people have been hospitalized after a train collided with a vehicle in Surrey this morning.

      Around 10 a.m. today (April 15), Surrey RCMP received a report of a collision between a train and a vehicle at a marked train crossing at 179 Street near the Golden Ears Connector in the Port Kells area.

      According to a Surrey RCMP news release, early indications suggest that the vehicle was attempting to cross the tracks when a freight train hit it.

      The driver and passenger in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
