Police watchdog probes RCMP dog-bite incident in North Vancouver

The B.C. Independent Investigations Office is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was bitten and injured by a police dog in North Vancouver.

The incident involving North Vancouver RCMP took place on the afternoon of December 13 near the 1400 block of Chesterfield Avenue.

“The man sustained serious injuries related to a dog bite,” the IIO said in a release today (December 7). “The matter was immediately reported to the IIO and an investigation was initiated.”

The B.C. Independent Investigations Office is asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact investigators at 1-855-446-8477.
