We've already delved into things punk and Canada Day-related today by posting NoMeansNo's take on the Subhumans' "Oh Canaduh" as the 3:01 Pick Me Up. Trivia time: did you know that the Subhumans' first gig was actually on Canada Day in 1978?

The occasion was the "Anarchy in Canada" concert at Stanley Park. The event was headlined by D.O.A. and, as you'll see in the first clip below, attended by a large number of Vancouver's finest.

In addition to singer-provocateur Joey Shithead, this early version of D.O.A. featured guitarist Brad Kent, bassist Randy Rampage, and drummer Chuck Biscuits.

      "Disco Sucks"

      "Woke Up Screaming"
