Celebrate and honour Black music and culture this weekend with a one-day music festival in Langley.

Located outside Bez Arts Hub, the annual Juneteenth festival features musical performances from three artists, including returning acts Sister J’s Soul Summit and Bez Gospel Choir. Also performing is Marcus Mosley, a BC Entertainment Hall of Fame inductee and a Leo Award nominee for his voice work as Kenny G on ABC with Kenny G.

Fried chicken, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase.

Juneteenth, which takes place on June 19 and is a federal holiday in the United States, commemorates the end of slavery in the US. It acts both as a reminder of what Black people have endured in North America, and as a celebration of Black excellence.
