The most prevalent theme for me this past year: Love or Death. But death seems to be winning out for it's realistic and appealing quality. I don't see it as negative. The prospect of finding, acquiring, keeping, and nurturing love not just for another person but also myself? Daunting. 0+

"Don't depend on death to liberate you

from your imperfections. You are exactly the same after death as you were before. Nothing changes; you only give up the body. If you are a thief or a liar or a cheater before death, you don't become an angel merely by dying. If such were possible, then let us all go and jump in the ocean now and become angels at once! Whatever you have made of yourself thus far, so will you be hereafter. And when you reincarnate, you will bring that same nature with you. To change, you have to make the effort. This world is the place to do it." -- Yogananda

Terrible, what a strange choice Love or death! Why can’t people enjoy a plain and simple life. Not everyone needs a partner. Hope this year is better for you.

Feeling sorry

Apr 26, 2024 at 5:30pm

For myself mostly, at least recently. Knowing that I’ll never find the love I wanted before I die. But while I’m feeling that way, I also remember that some people go through their entire lives without ever having experienced love. Without even having a girlfriend or boyfriend, or even dating. So that makes me give my head a shake and helps me remember to be grateful for all of the things that I have in my life. My family and friends who I have so much love for. Maybe you’re giving up too soon? Maybe the love you seek is right around the next corner? Never say never.

Disagree Feeling Sorry

I am so sick of hearing that old cliche that it is better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all. This is only true for some people. The rest of us wish we had never started having romantic relationships because our lives were happier, more peaceful and we never felt loneliness BEFORE we started having romantic relationships.
