Mission Hill winery reveals outdoor summer concert series lineup—including Sarah McLachlan and Jewel

All your favourite musicians from the ‘90s—if you’ve been around for that long—will soon be hitting the stage at the Mission Hill Family Estate winery’s 900-seat outdoor amphitheatre in West Kelowna.

Tapped in the summer concert series lineup at the Romanesque outdoor venue in West Kelowna are Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Etheridge and Jewel, and the Barenaked Ladies.

Rolling hills, rows of grapes seen in the vineyard, and Okanagan Lake provide a backdrop to the outdoor space, where these iconic musicians will take the same stage that has hosted the likes of the Gipsy Kings, Chris Isaac, and more.

“A concert performance under the open sky at our outdoor amphitheatre is a truly unforgettable experience,” says proprietor Anthony von Mandl in a release. “There is something extraordinarily special about this intimate hilltop location; a wonderful outdoor concert experience reminiscent of the grand performances staged at Europe’s historic open-air Roman amphitheatres. We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional musical performers to the winery this summer.”

This veritable Lilith Fair reunion comes in a more elevated vibe than you’d find these artists 25 years ago (so leave your Birkenstocks at home). Namely, showgoers can up the ante on their concert experience by adding on various culinary experience options.

For example, the Terrace Dinner is a three-course meal with wine pairings in the winery’s al fresco restaurant. After that, you’ll get assigned seating for the concert. Or, you could go a little more simply with the Oculus Patio Picnic for two, nabbing a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate on the estate courtyard’s patio—then get your assigned seats for the show.
