Vancouver funnyman Seth Rogen talked about politics on both sides of the border on a recent visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In a video uploaded online today (April 2), the actor and filmmaker began by chatting about meeting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a residence in Hancock Park in Los Angeles.

He said in comparison to a highly controlled meeting with former U.S. president Barack Obama, Trudeau was walking about chatting with everyone.

Then the conversation moved on to Stormy Daniels.

The porn star appeared in Seth Rogen's films Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

Rogen explained that for films that had scenes in strip clubs, they found that it was easier to hire porn stars to play strippers than actors. Daniels played a porn star in 2005's The 40-Year-Old Virgin and a lap dancer in 2007's Knocked Up.

He said that about 10 years ago, she had mentioned that she had slept with Donald Trump and that he wasn't all that surprised.

Daniels has been involved in a legal dispute with U.S. President Trump. She alleges that Trump paid her US$130,000 to remain silent on an affair she claims they had in 2006.

She discussed the sexual encounter in an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes on March 28. She also claimed that she was threatened to keep quiet.

The White House has denied Trump had sex with Daniels.
