Oh, drat—Vancouver team eliminated from Amazing Race Canada's Season 7

      Alas and alack—hopes for the first team from British Columbia to win Amazing Race Canada have been dashed. Ah, the heartbreak.

      In last night’s episode (August 27), teams raced from Quebec’s Charlevoix region to Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum and then on to Thunder Bay, Ontario, including a visit to a Terry Fox Monument.

      As teams dashed on to Kakabeka Falls to meet host Jon Montgomery, the Vancouver team arrived last.

      Unfortunately, that means 25-year-old human resources professional Aarthy Ketheeswaran and 28-year-old software developer Thinesh Kumarakulasingam, a dating couple from Vancouver (who relocated from Toronto), are out of the running. Sob.

      The remaining teams include:

      • married couple Anthony Johnson and James Makokis from Edmonton, Alberta;
      • sisters Lauren and Joanne Lavoie from Regina, Saskatchewan;
      • athletes Sarah Wells and Sam Effah from Toronto, Ontario;
      • married couple Dave Leduc and Irina Terehova from Montreal, Quebec.

      In the next episode, which airs on CTV on September 3), teams will head to Nova Scotia to compete for spots as Season 7 finalists.
