Gastown Thursday Nights celebrates the holiday season with ballet, mariachi, and mistletoe

Roving mariachi bands, dangling mistletoe, and free ballet performances will all be part of Gastown Thursday Nights, which celebrate the holiday season from November 30 to December 21.

Things kick off Thursday (November 30) from 6 to 7:30pm, when the Arts Umbrella Dance Company Mixed Nuts production takes over the Inform Interiors storefront window at 50 Water Street.

Moving forward, the Los Dorados Mariachi Band roams the streets on December 7, the East Van Horns are in the spotlight December 14, and the Nerdy Elves are the draw on December 21.

Running until January 6, Kiss Me Gastown will see mistletoe from area florist Floba placed in multiple locations around the neighbourhood, including Maple Tree Square, Le Magasin Alley, and Monaco Coffee.

As part of Gastown Thursday Nights, restaurants and bars will feature special holiday happy hour deals, and merchants will offer late-night shopping.
