While Vancouver is celebrated for its stunning vistas and lively dining culture, it needs to catch up to other major Canadian cities regarding rooftop dining. But Azur Legacy Hotel is about to change the local game with something fun and unique.

The hotel is getting ready to open Lavantine Restaurant and Skybar, an Arabesque-inspired restaurant atop its downtown location. The restaurant will offer a blend of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with influences from both traditional and local ingredients.

“Whether it’s a romantic evening affair or after-work gathering with friends, guests at Lavantine will be able to indulge in a culinary journey like no other in the heart of Vancouver,” shares Azur food and beverage director Sofia Sayani in a release. “Lavantine showcases the very best that BC has to offer, an open-concept kitchen where guests can witness the culinary magic firsthand, and a bar where they can bask in the breathtaking views of the surrounding cityscape and create unforgettable memories.”

Along with the traditional flavours of Arabian cuisine, the cocktail list also provides patrons with a taste of the Mediterranean and other faraway places. The first half of the cocktail menu pays homage to The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor with floral and exotic spice notes. At the same time, the second is inspired by Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, inspired by sweet treats worldwide (think: Thai Pandan cheesecake).

An opening date has yet to be announced.
