The Real Housewives of Vancouver: Where are they now?

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Paging Andy Cohen—what ever happened to our city’s favourite elite women, the Real Housewives of Vancouver? Ever since Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel touched down in the Lower Mainland (and started posting all about it), we’ve been thinking about our own short-lived version of the reality juggernaut.

The local show aired first in 2012, giving us only two seasons of petty drama amid the lavish lifestyles of wealthy Vancouver women—not all of whom are actually “housewives.” It starred “self-made woman” Jody Claman, the then-owner of Glass House Couture; two-time divorcee Christina Kiesel; sports car enthusiast Reiko MacKenzie; winery owner Ronnie Stevenson Negus; and former beauty queen and singer Mary Zilba. After its debut, Kiesel and MacKenzie exited the show, while new housewives Amanda Hansen, Robin Reichman, and Ioulia Reynolds joined the second and—sadly—final season.

It’s been a bit over a decade since we last saw them on our TVs, which begs the question: where are they now?

      Let’s find out.

      Jody Claman

This mom of two has suffered a few huge losses since the end of RHOV. Her business, Glass House Couture, was vandalized by animal rights activists, and has since been closed. Her elder daughter, Mia—who was a minor love interest for Kiesel in the show—was injured in a gang-related shooting back in 2014. Mia then had a daughter with her rumored-to-be gang-affiliated boyfriend Jeffrey Chang, who died at the age of 28 of a drug overdose. Claman lost custody of her youngest daughter, who was seen in the show, through a nasty divorce with her ex-husband, Eran Friedlander, and was ordered to pay him $600,000 in alimony.

She now runs Jody’s Maison, a West Vancouver cafe and catering company.

      Christina Kiesel

On the show, Kiesel was shy and kind—and didn’t seem to love the attention that the show garnered her, which is probably why it’s hard to find any information about her these days.

The mysterious divorcee was a self-proclaimed “gold digger,” so she might be out doing some more digging. Last we heard, Kiesel was arrested for third-degree domestic violence in South Carolina in 2016, where it seems—from her Instagram account—she may have lived for a while. She has not posted on her profile since 2018.

      Reiko MacKenzie

It’s possible MacKenzie opted out of the second season of RHOV due to her then-divorce with Sun MacKenzie. Starting a public relationship with DJ Kasha Kennedy, MacKenzie became a queer icon post-show, and also started a gluten-free beer line called CORSA—which no one has heard a peep about since 2015. She’s now a realtor, according to her Instagram page, which is private.

      Ronnie Stevenson Negus

Negus—like Claman—has been met with a lot of tragedy since her departure from the show. The mom of four divorced from her husband in 2014; her daughter survived a near-fatal choking incident that put her in a coma; and her 27-year-old tragically passed away in 2022.

Negus made a very brief cameo in Family Law, a TV show detailing the lives of a family of lawyers based in Vancouver. The US-born reality star is now sober and—according to her Instagram account—recently attended an ayahuasca ceremony.

      Mary Zilba

The beauty-queen-turned-reality-queen seems to be doing well, attending film festivals and, in general, influencing around Vancouver. A while back, Zilba founded LadyPants Productions, a TV production company alongside TV host Fiona Forbes, but it hasn’t been active on social media since 2017. The 60-year-old appears to be living drama-free since the post-RHOV lawsuit that Claman and her daughter Mia filed against her.

      Amanda Hansen

In a surprising twist, friend of Mia (Claman’s daughter—see above), Hansen now seems to be a ceramic hobbyist who shares anti-vax sentiments on her social media.

      Ioulia Reynolds

On the show, Reynolds was a 26-year-old stepmom to her husband’s kids—who were also in their twenties. The now-38-year-old is split from her husband (who was named in the Panama Papers tax evasion case in 2016), and has since, reportedly, pursued graphic design, fitness training, and sobriety.

      Robin Reichman

On the show, “you-don’t-mess-with-Texas” Reichman was a sweet, Southern friend to the bullied-on Zilba, but it doesn’t look like the two talk much these days. Possibly because the part-time Vancouverite is not shy about sharing her MAGA views on social media. Oof.
