The highly anticipated 12th annual UBCP/ACTRA Awards is set to unfold on November 25 in Vancouver. The awards ceremony will be one of the first celebrations as the industry rebounds from a significant downturn due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in the US.

The iconic Commodore Ballroom will provide the backdrop for what will be a celebration of not just the talent of the performers, but also the anticipation of a bright future for the industry. Guests will have a chance to mingle with the nominees and other industry colleagues including politicians, producers, directors, casting directors, agents, and sponsors. The Famous Players Band will rock the night away along with music from DJ Zak Santiago.

The journey to this awards show included a six-month adjudication process that whittled down over 250 submissions to the final 84 nominees. There are eight performance categories up for grabs including lead acting roles, supporting roles and stunts, and voice.

There is great anticipation for who will be selected as winners from a group of the best of the best. UBCP/ACTRA represents more than 8,300 professional performers working in the English-language recorded media sector in British Columbia.
