The seventh edition of the Modified Ghost Festival is set to reignite stages across Vancouver from May 16 to 19.

The annual festival is bringing four days of headbang-worthy music across two stages, featuring both local and touring bands.

The festival kicks off on May 16 at the Rickshaw Theatre, featuring Polish death metal troupe Decapitated, plus Greek death metalers Septicflesh; Juno-winning metalheads from Quebec, Kataklysm; American technical melodic death metal band Allegaeon; and local progressive death metal group Truent.

On May 17, Maryland-based death metalheads Dying Fetus headlines, supported by fellow Marylanders Full of Hell, Cleveland’s 200 Stab Wounds, and Japanese doom metal band Kruelty.

Legendary stoner rockers from California Fu Manchu are set to light up the stage on May 18, with doom blues outfit Heavy Trip and local doom metal group Bloodrhine—an offshoot of Vancouver’s heavy blues metal outfit Black Wizard.

Finally, moving to The Cobalt, Weedeater closes out the festival with its brand of sludge and stoner rock.
