New-school R&B singer Tori Kelly plays the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on September 23. The Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling, streaming service success story hits the West Coast as part of the tour for her just-released fifth full-length TORI.

Debuting in 2015 with Unbreakable Smile, Kelly started out as a YouTube sensation, eventually parlaying that into an appearance on American Idol. Over the course of her career, she’s collaborated with everyone from Justin Bieber to Andrea Bocelli.

She’s described TORI as a record that came from a “happy place” in her life, noting that “this feels like a self-titled moment. I am ready to say, ‘This is who I am.’”

So, if your wardrobe is best described as being 10 shades of black, and rainy days make you smile, it might be best to sit this one out.

Tickets go on sale April 11 at 10am.
