You Nearly Missed: Foxy Fest at the Biltmore Cabaret

Celebrating a belated International Women’s Day this weekend will be Foxy Fest, a benefit show featuring local women musicians at the Biltmore Cabaret. The best part? It’s all to raise money for PACE Society.

Presented by Foxy Box Laser & Wax Bar in Mount Pleasant, the event will play host to five local artists, and dole out prizes over the evening. The wax, laser, and beauty franchise has four locations in the Lower Mainland, including two in Vancouver, one in Port Coquitlam, and another in Abbotsford.

Experimental R&B artist Emma Alves, soulful-pop singer Devon Dalgarno, jazzy-indie pop artist Dilly Cooner, singer-songwriter Molly Annelle, and Syl will all hit the Biltmore’s stage in support of PACE Society, a Downtown Eastside organization advocating for current and former sex workers. The society was founded by local sex workers in 1994, and continues to provide vital support and education to the sex work community.
