Update (April 17): Surrey RCMP announced at 3:57 p.m. that Amritras Singh has been located and is safe.

Surrey RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 22-year-old male who has gone missing.

Amritras Singh was last seen at 7 a.m. on April 16 in the 6900 block of 122 Street of Surrey.

As he hasn’t been seen or heard from since, police and family members are concerned about his well-being as it is out of character for him to remain out of touch for this length of time.

He is described as a South Asian male who is about 157 centimetres (five-feet, two-inches) tall with a medium build, black beard, and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue turban, a black jacket, and black pants.

He is known to visit temples in Surrey and Canada Place in Vancouver.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477.
