The Comedy Department’s “Holiday Rumble kicks” off this weekend

The holiday season is significantly more enjoyable if you can poke a little fun at it.

The Comedy Department is doing just that with its Christmassy production, aptly titled Holiday Comedy Rumble: Every Elf for Themself. Coming to the stage in both Vancouver and Coquitlam, it’s a fast-paced improv show in which elves battle it out to see who will earn the right to wear the Santa suit (while, naturally, the Big Man soaks up the sun in Palm Springs).

“A fun, comedic twist on the more traditional offerings this time of year was what we wanted to bring to Lower Mainland audiences,” says Comedy Department co-owner Denise Jones in a statement. “Holiday Comedy Rumble has a ton of audience involvement and participation.”

Ultimately, the audience decides who wins. Ah, power—more delicious than a Christmas ham.
