Known for his time as a staff writer on the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, which loosely follows the childhood of Eddie Huang growing up in an Asian-American family in the 1990s, Sheng Wang is no stranger to finding humour in the day-to-day. As a Taiwanese American standup, his comedy is influenced by his own life, and it has made him a rising star in the industry. 

His first Netflix special, Sweet & Juicy, was directed by fellow Asian-American comedy heavyweight Ali Wong. Now, he’s taking his act on the road, with three nights in Vancouver—his only Canadian stop—in October.
