Is running forward child’s play to you? Maybe what you need is to run a race backwards.

There are many benefits to walking (or running) backwards. The primary one is that it allows you to strengthen the muscles along the back of your legs to better prevent knee injuries—one of the most common pitfalls when running.

This weekend (June 23), Qi Integrated Health is inviting folks of all fitness levels to join in Vancouver’s first backwards race through China Creek North Park, with the winner awarded a free acupuncture session.
