Vancouver police and Chilliwack RCMP worked together to intercept a significant amount of illegal drugs that investigators believe were meant to be taken to the Fraser Valley.

On September 10, Chilliwack RCMP and the Vancouver Police Department used a search warrant at a location in the 5600 block of Boundary Road in Vancouver.

Officers seized 10 kilograms of methamphetamine and 700 grams of fentanyl, in addition to drug-cutting agents, processing materials, cell phones, and an unspecified amount of cash.

Police arrested two individuals during the search but later released them.

A report about the investigation will be submitted to the public prosecution service for an assessment of charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
