The crushes. The late-night cabin chats. The weird food. The mosquito bites as big as your fingernail. Ah, the joys of summer camp! The Improv Centre is taking us back to our youth with a new show dedicated to this rite-of-passage summer activity.

Running Fridays and Saturdays starting May 17, Camp What’s-It-Called promises lots of cringey, relatable laughs.

“Whether you grew up attending summer camp or have only seen depictions in film and TV, there is something exciting, ridiculous, and intriguing about a group of keen campers and quirky counsellors navigating their way through not only the wilderness, but also social interactions,” says The Improv Centre artistic director Jalen Saip. “With the introduction of an audience member as a camper in the second half and a plethora of characters and camp tropes to play off of, this hilarious improvised show about summer camp is the perfect way to kick off the season.”

Sounds a heck of a lot more fun than actually going to summer camp!
