Mark Your Calendar: The Improv Centre’s lineup of holiday shows promises festive fun

Let’s face it: the weather in Vancouver is going to poetically suck in November and December. Which means feeling less guilt when you want to spend an evening inside, in a dark, cozy theatre, with a little bevy in hand. The Improv Centre on Granville Island has just announced its holiday trio of shows, giving you plenty of reasons to do just that.

      Back to the Holidays

Thursdays to Saturdays November 23 to December 23 at 7:30pm, with a 2pm matinee on December 17 and 24

In a mash-up homage to A Christmas Carol and Back to the Future, this show follows an eccentric scientist who must discover the true meaning of the holidays—with some Scrooge types helping (or distracting) along the way.

      2023 and Me

      December 27 to December 30 at 7:30pm

Share a memory or moment from your 2023 and have The Improv Centre’s cast reenact it on stage, right before your eyes. Equal parts entertaining and terrifying.

      NYE at TIC

      December 31 at 7:00pm, 9:00pm, and 11:15pm

A nice way to ensure you’ll count down to 2024 with laughter instead of tears.

Allen Morrison, Angela Galanopoulos, and Madeliene Humeny in NYE at TIC.

Tickets for all three shows start at $26.50 and are available online.
