RuPaul to get intimate in Vancouver at the Commodore

The most famous drag star in the solar system will host an April 16 evening at the Commodore that promises to be as inspirational as it is intimate.

RuPaul has announced a Vancouver appearance for the upcoming memoir House of Hidden Meanings. The book has been designed as a “manual for living,” with the artist born RuPaul Andre Charles using personal stories to ruminate on the meaning of life, the power of love, and the importance of finding one’s voice in a world where we’re often told to blend in rather than stand out.

RuPaul’s career has taken him from Atlanta public access TV to the nightclubs of New York City to MTV host to iconic status as the host of the wildly popular RuPaul’s Drag Race.

House of Hidden Meanings has the 63-year-old discussing the value of chosen family, the importance of harnessing what makes you unique and therefore different, and the transformational power of facing yourself and all challenges fearlessly. There's a great case to be made that few on this planet have done that with more style, wit, thoughtfulness, and humour than RuPaul.

Tickets for the seated event go on sale today (February 14) at 12pm.
