The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival—glitter, feathers, et al—will hit the stage again in April.

Celebrating its 19th year, the week-long festival runs from April 2 to 7 at the Vancouver Playhouse, bringing together new talent and returning legends of the sultry art form.

“I’m excited to return as artistic director to once again present a tantalizing cross-section of the talented performers from both our city and across the continent,” says Androsia Wilde in a release. “We are highlighting both the glamour and glitter inherent to our artform, as well as the myriad stories and perspectives that these performances are capable of telling.”

Headlining this year’s showcase are luminary burlesque performers including Mx. Exotic World runner-up Moscato Sky and and the award-winning Red Tongued Raven, known for their wry humour onstage. This year also celebrates Burlesque Hall of Famer Shawna, the Black Venus, who performed in Legends and Icons at the all-Black Burlesque Revue in 2023.

In addition to being able to catch these performers onstage, VIBF is also hosting a virtual showcase—so you can participate from home in workshops, “TIT Talks,” and panels that explore the burlesque community at large.
