Where to watch (and eat your way through) the Super Bowl in Vancouver

    1 of 1 2 of 1

There’s nothing like a major sports event to bring the masses together to bond over chicken wings, nachos, and other pub fare—and the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII is the pinnacle of them all. We have a feeling there will be a lot more Swifties actively engaged in watching this year’s Super Bowl, and for that, the NFL thanks her.

Whether you are an avid football fan, a halftime show devotee (this year it’s Usher), or are just there for the wings, Vancouver has a ton on offer on February 11. Kick-off time is 3:30pm (PST, that is). Reserve your seats and place your bets.

      Super Bowl Sunday at Juke

Free wings! Enough said. Fried chicken slingers Juke are hosting Super Bowl Sunday with a special for all football fans: a pound of free hot wings with every 10 pieces of fried chicken ordered. That offer works for both dine-in viewers at Juke’s cool Chickadee Room bar as well as pick-up orders.

Super Bowl LVIII LIVE at The American

A bar whose name is apt for this sporting event, The American kicks off the action with giant screens showing the game. Plus, they’ll be giving away prizes, including a jersey. Reserve seating for parties of two to six: $80 will get you a game spread for two from DownLow Burgers and a beer from BC brewers Strange Fellows or Phillips.

Punchbowl’s Super Sunday Funday at the Hollywood

A big game on the big screen, as they like to put it! The Hollywood Theatre is hosting a viewing of the Super Bowl, with $49 getting you a seat, two cocktails, and all-you-can eat tacos and nachos from Rebel Rebel Q. For an additional $60, you can tack on an order of Dino Ribs.

SUPER BOWL LVIII: Live from Hero’s Welcome

This friendly Mount Pleasant neighbourhood hub was long known as a legion, welcoming veterans and bingo enthusiasts—but kids now will know it as Hero’s Welcome, boasting big screens and arcade games. On Super Bowl Sunday, expect drinks, food, and prizes all day long, plus a famed meat draw from Windsor Meats. Table reservations start at $120 for a group of three, and include drinks and a game-day spread fit for a football team.

SUPER BOWL LVIII VIEWING PARTY at the Rio Theatre

Perhaps one of the only free viewings in the city—other than your own living room, of course—the Rio serves up the ultimate Super Bowl screening in its Broadway and Commercial haunt usually reserved for indie flicks and burlesque shows (among many other things). The theatre promises trivia, prizes, and their usual fare of grilled cheese sammies and drinks. Spots are first-come, first-serve, so expect to line up before doors open at 3pm.
