Considering that Oakberry opened its first location in BC less than a year ago, it feels like the acai-based chain is taking over Vancouver. Currently, the company has five locations in Vancouver proper, with three new Metro Vancouver locations slated for spring this year—making this superfood super accessible and readily available.

Known for its rich flavour, acai is a berry native to the Amazon rainforest that is a natural antioxidant and rich in healthy fatty acids and minerals. The fun is in the customization, with mix-ins available, such as fresh fruits, crunchy granola, and even condensed milk.
