BCL is giving Lower Mainland residents the chance to enter a draw to buy a couple of limited-edition spirits. Fill out a ballot and you could win the right to buy The Macallan Red Collection 78 Years Old, retailing for $142,000. Those feeling a little skint this spring can also enter to win the chance to purchase The Macallan Red Collection 40 Years Old, which carries a $52,000 price tag.

The big draw will take place at the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) head office on March 19, with the winners then notified by email.

Further on The Macallan front, BCL’s 39th and Cambie store will host a ticketed in-store tasting event from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on March 14. Brand specialist Nils Schabert will oversee an exclusive tasting experience with an opportunity to try The Macallan 25-Year-Old, as well as learn about the distillery’s latest releases.

Should you, for a lark, like a reminder of how the commoners and unwashed rabble of Vancouver live—AKA those making their way around the city by shanks mare—BCL can help there, as well. Bottles from The Macallan Classic Cut release from 2022 will be available at 20 BCL stores around the province for $169.99. Bottles of The Macallan Harmony No.3, carrying a $350 price tag, will also be made available at select stores. Both will be first come, first served starting March 14.
